When I attended my first Enlightenment Intensive in 2002, I was freshly arrived from the Himalayas, India, having spent the major part of 23 years there deeply involved in meditation and inquiry into Truth. Meditation is generally a solo experience, even when practiced in groups, so when I discovered Enlightenment Intensive Dyad Work, I was captivated by the format of sitting across from a partner while meditating on Truth. It was so powerful a medium to sit face to face in truth with numerous partners over the course of the days that my husband, Jack, and I enrolled in the process of becoming Master Facilitators of the Enlightenment Intensive. It is because of our deep love of Awakening and our abiding interest in our shared human experience that we desire to facilitate this work for others. For the past 4 years, I have participated as a senior staff member in putting on over 20 Intensives. Dates: May 23rd - 26th, 2008; Friday 8 pm thru Monday 9 pm. Facilitator: Jamar, Enlightenment Master, "Inner Awakening" yoga instructor, Meditation teacher, Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy practitioner, Life-Support facilitator, Rebirther and spiritual counselor. I am, however, not really any of these titles or trainings. They are merely labels to communicate that I have spent a considerable amount of time and energy in preparing for our time together. Seattle Area Enlightenment Intensive

It has also been the focus of my life's path--I knew that to have world peace, I first had to find my own inner peace. Through many Enlightenment Intensives, I have had the humbling opportunity to meet the truth, finding it not separate of me, but truly inside and everywhere it has always been. The setting? A beautiful waterfront and wooded Camp Burton located on Vashon Island, near Seattle, WA. The retreat is fully residential, starting with an introductory evening, 3 days of intensive dyadic contemplation and then an integrative morning. The Portland Dogzen group meets every other Tuesday evening at 3939 NE Hancock, Suite 302, in the Hollywood District of NE Portland. We use the entrance that is on the east end of the building (facing NE 40th). Evening practices start at 7 PM and go until about 10 PM. There is no charge.
