We invite you to join us in this seriously devoted inquiry into Truth, Self and the Eternal. It is based on Ancient Meditation practices and modern psychology, and has ties to many other spiritual traditions. Benefits: increased self awareness, enhanced authenticity in relating to others; emotional and mental break-throughs; insights about self, life and relationships; levels of inner peace not previously experienced. And for some—an enlightenment experience…also known as satori, “contact with God,” or Union with Truth. The enlightenment intensive uses a dyad format for contemplation that is generative—the energy builds between dyad partners, as well as everyone in the room, creating a synergetic generation of the very energy mentioned in Zen literature needed to break through into an enlightenment experience. The setting is a five day residential retreat with vegetarian meals. It is started by an introductory evening, followed by 3 days of dyadic contemplation—a contemplation done in tandem with a partner, where turns are taken between contemplation and communication of one partner and attentive listening by the other. Partners rotate through all participants present. Other activities are interspersed. The intensive ends with an integrative morning on Monday. |

3 or 7-Day Enlightenment Intensive in Vancouver, BC, Canada
Murray Kennedy |
Dates: May 6-14, 2010 Facilitator: Murray Kennedy. Since 1981 I have given 60 Enlightenment Intensives. I love the work deeply; trust it completely. Through the years I have seen it bring fulfillment, joy, healing and the Truth itself to so many people. To me it as an on-going miracle. And it is my great privilege to make it available. I warmly invite you to contact me. |
Cost: 3-Day is Cdn$475. 7-Day is Cdn$925. Price includes food and lodging.
Location: Sts'ailes Lhawathet Lalem Camp, Mission BC. This is a gorgeous, treed property on the bank of a river.
About Longer Intensives: For many people, three-day Enlightenment Intensives end just when they are starting to get interesting. On the final day participants often find themselves in a new realm, one where contemplation is no longer foreign or forced but spontaneous, natural and real. The dyads flow on a deeper level. Contact is profound. The power and significance of the work have become self-evident.
A seven or eight-day intensive is for those who want to stay on and continue the inquiry at the level they have attained at the end of the third day. So it is an opportunity go on out into realms you always had to turn your back on before; and experience whatever arises as contemplation deepens day after day after day. It is a simple and very pure life. You are supported and nourished by the structure and fellowship of the intensive. Your only mandate and concern is to continue opening to the truth and communicating your experience, whatever it is.

Practice Sessions, Workshops, and Trainings
EI Masters Training Course Led By Osha and Edrid
Many people who have taken Enlightenment Intensives have experienced profound and important enlightenments and transformational experiences in their lives and have developed a deep respect for the process. Some are moved to do this work for the benefit of others. This year, Edrid and Osha will be offering a Masters Training Course at Origin. The course begins in January 2010 with a self-paced home study phase. It ends at a ten-day residential training at Origin, August 13 thru August 22, 2010. The course is highly personalized and therefore limited to no more than 12 students. Those who wish to take the course must have taken Intensives and feel that they have personally benefitted from them. |
Main Study Room at Origin |
This course is designed to awaken your capacity to be an Enlightenment Intensive master. You will engage in an in-depth study of the principles and the techniques that a master needs to lead Enlightenment Intensives. You will receive step-by-step comprehensive training in the core skills you will use when mastering intensives. These include:
Your training begins as soon as you are accepted as a student. In the home study phase, the student studies written materials and consults with Edrid and Osha. You should plan to start this work in early 2010 so that you have plenty of time to work through the study material. This program requires some committment, as the amount of material you will be studying is significant. Osha and Edrid will be available by phone and internet to guide students during this phase. The ten-day residential portion (at the end of the individual study phase) is immersion training. You will live and breathe the EI during that period. Each day will be filled with lectures, discussions, drills, and study. The drills are designed to help develop the particular skills you will need for handling the various circumstances that may arise during Intensives, and you will lead short practice Intensives to gain practical experience at being a master. There will be ample time to get all your questions answered. This course is demanding as well as a profound. Most have found it a deep and rewarding experience. It is not uncommon for students to experience life-changing insights and transformations in their progress toward being an EI master. Contact Osha (origin@highsierra.org) or Edrid (edrid@sandoth.com) to apply or get additional information. |
