maxit for pet was my first band. i was in forth grade when
we first formed and when we made our first record. maxit for pet was me
and aaron zonka of azura. recently i deduced what
my influences were for the first recordings: nirvana,
green day, hole,
and babes
in toyland. mostly what my sister was listening to at the time. none
of our music really sounds like any of those groups though. we recorded,
i think, nine records: bstf, blah blah blah, snore [lost], junk yard, untitled
(the silver album), untitled (reversed) [destroyed], untitled (the piano
sessions) [lost], once upon a time, and cloud bears. there may be more but
that's all i remember. some notable characteristics about are records were
that we would record over mix tapes, and include tiny segments of the songs
on them and make fun of them, between our songs. and the first recordings
were all improv. when aaron made the transition from lead vocals to backup
vocals and drums, he used a cymbal and cardboard boxes. eventually he got
a drum set. when he got really good, azura started.
due to the fact that most maxit for pet songs were embarassing, only a few
have downloads. so, feel lucky that you get any. unless you'd like to purchase
a record, in which case, you can have all the songs on that album.

"snore had a song called "grass eyebrow". it was recorded
all over the neighborhood. there were some lyrics about sesame street in
one of the songs. and at one point we got really hardcore and screamed a
bunch of lyrics. i recorded over some of them because i was embarassed.
